7 Earth-like planets discovered circling star 39 light-years away

Researchers have found what resembles the best place so far where life as we probably am aware it might exist outside our own particular nearby planetary group.

Seven Earth-sized planets, all of which could contain water, have been discovered circling a little star 39 light-years away.

"We have made a vital stride toward finding if there is life out there," said Amaury Triaud, co-creator of a review distributed Wednesday in the science diary Nature.

"I don't think at whatever time before we had the correct planets to find and see whether there was.

"Here, if life figured out how to flourish … then we will know. Some time recently, it was sign; now, we have the correct target."

The disclosure is the first of its kind. At no other time have such a large number of Earth-like planets been discovered circling a solitary star.
